A BOOT......for beer?

That’s right. Let’s travel back 100 years to the home of beer… Germany. The tradition of drinking from a boot started with a savvy general who promised his troops he would drink beer from his boot if they were successful in taking over a town. You see, this general was smart, he didn’t want to taste his own sweat filled boot because he probably wasn’t drunk enough yet. He had a glass boot made for him so he would keep true to his word. Since that wonderful day, soldiers have celebrated victory by enjoying a couple liters of beer from a big glass boot.

  

How can you take this marvelous instrument and get totally bombed without fighting a war in Germany? It’s simple. There are many games you can play with this fancy footwear. Traditionally you play like this; gather your buddies and get into a circle, although if you play this right it shouldn’t look like a circle, and fill your 1 to 2 liter beer boot, if you play this with anything less, you’re obviously underage and should be in bed! Now the object of this game is to not be the SECOND to last person to finish the boot, otherwise you have to pay for the next beer.
